How To Beat The Summer Heat.
It is 2022 and the summer heat is beyond bearable. So, I am going to share with you how I make my cold brew using Urban Baristas coffee. I don’t own a coffee machine at home but that shouldn’t stop me from enjoying coffee at home, especially in this heatwave.
My go-to coffee flavour is Urban Baristas Espresso, and I always get it ground for a V60 method. I love making my coffee with a V60 because it’s mesmerizing. It’s an art form, the setup, the process, and the enjoyment afterwards. I start by rinsing my V60 with hot water before putting the filter in as this will help keep the filter stay in place. The next step is to add the filter along with my ground Espresso. I use around 2/2.5 tablespoon of coffee into the V60, using a kettle Hario and slowly drizzle hot water in a circular motion until you see it rising to the top. Then enjoy the show as each coffee droplet drips from the filter. That is what I call magic.
When the coffee has been filtered completely, I would add ice, then a teaspoon of agave syrup, and 1 teaspoon of honey just to add a bit of sweetness to the mix without adding sugar. After that, I like to add soy or almond milk to this brew as they’re both creamy and sweet and complement the Espresso brew.
The taste is exquisite, and flavour-wise is beyond amazing – chocolatey, with a hint of vanilla and honey, the perfect flavour palette to make a cold brew.
